I’m really in the mood for some solid furniture posting. Accessories, toys, fashion - it’s all well and good. But I’m jonesing for some big-ticket furniture/ design eye candy. Couches, end tables, lighting, all set up for the discerning eye in a showroom. But my choices are somewhat limited it seems. And I’m stuck with some really good looking companies that are not Israeli in and of themselves, yet they cater to an Israeli market. Take, for example, this smart and eclectic world traveler style company, Loft Global. With products ranging from tableware to bedroom sets this is the kind of department store choc-full feeling that I’ve been missing lately. I don’t want to have to go to several stores that each offer a limited selection of one item or one style. Sometimes I want that big American-style shopping experience - everything at your fingertips and all under one roof. Kind of why I love Ikea so much. But that’s another story.
Anyway, my problem is that Loft Global is not Israeli per se. It’s tailored for the market here sure, but not made by Israelis. So I’d like to know from you dear readers, do you think being sold in Israel - but not made in Israel or designed by an Israeli - qualifies for posting about on Designist? I have my own ideas, but I’d love to start the discussion with your input. So I’ll see you in the comments.

Z-I certainly wouldn’t object to the occasional “Attention Local Shoppers” shout-out, but mainly I’m here for the focus on Israeli design. “Designist Dream” after all. (And pardon me while I go see if I have a Pakam available soon…)

Thanks for the input, J. What readers want to see more of is certainly important to me - and your vote just made it unanimous
