Designist Dream

Well apologies for missing in action but I spent the better half of last week with a cough and cold that knocked me and little Tz out for good. At the first sign of her getting better I conned her way back into a half-day at playgroup and got me some more sleep. But still didn’t venture too far myself from some Kleenex, my bed and a steaming hot cup of ginger-honey-lemon tea from my Max Brenner hug mug.

I did however manage to read up on all the amazing designers who will be headed out for next week’s big fmarket Israeli fashion designer event in Tel Aviv. Fmarket is thee place to shop with Israel’s leading and independent designers all under one big convention center roof, selling this season’s and last season’s best clothes, jewelry, bags, shoes - you name it - and all for him, her and even the kiddies. The event is designed to promote and expose new Israeli fashion and accessory designers and bring culture and fashion to the masses. DJ’s, runway shows, and more are scheduled from midday to midnight January 17th-19th. Proceeds from an auction of specially designed tee shirts will go to benefit Tel Aviv’s center for victims of rape and sexual assault. FMarket has been super successful in the past and I’m very very excited to go this year. So stay tuned for some exciting posts about what’s new in Israeli fashion, who’re Israel’s up and coming designers, what Israel’s wearing this season and what you’ll be wanting to wear too. I’m also thinking of picking up something special from FMarket for, oh, well, maybe, ahem, a giveaway for one lucky reader?
