Green Prophet has been featuring some amazing Israeli design items that also pique ecological interest including these awesome rocking chair slippers and this multipurposeful skirt/parachute. Both are the works of Israeli designer Yael Mer who, in her raw-edges design studio seems to bury whimsy and subtle meaning deep within the objects’ design. Take for example the floating stacked drawers (featured above) created in conjunction with Israeli designer Shai Alkali. As if you just landed in Wonderland, these larger-than-life size drawers are completely functional yet also somewhat funny. Mer and Alkaly prove that even when form meets function - or design meets purpose - the results can be incredibly appealing for your interior. I mean, who wouldn’t want these as a storage unit in your office for creative inspiration?
